RAID OC Full Cave Instructor Trainer

Garry, aka ‘Sidemount Bob’, began his diving career in 1999. His interest in diving includes sidemount, backmount and ccr and has led to an extensive knowledge base which he eagerly shares with others. An avid dry caver in his earlier days, Garry’s passion for sidemount and cave diving, led him to be fundamental in the founding of the Apeks Cave Exploration Project in 2013. Whether diving technical or recreational, cave or wreck, Garry provides high quality training with an enthusiastic and friendly approach.


IANTD + TDI CCR Cave Instructor

James is a Technical Cave, Trimix and CCR instructor for IANTD, as well as, an Advanced Trimix Instructor Trainer, CCR and Full Cave Instructor for TDI and is passionate about teaching and promoting safe technical diving and mentoring newer cave divers to allow them to fully experience the unique environment of underwater caves. A well known figure in the Florida cave diving community, James has a passion for deep, extended duration dives venturing many hours underground.


TDI OC + CCR Full Cave Evaluator

Mat has been a full time dive professional since the late 90s and has accumulated over 5,000 dives in all sorts of environments. He is a passionate technical diving Instructor Trainer specialising in teaching and promoting safe technical diving and has trained over 1000 divers and instructors across all levels both recreationally and technically. He offers training at all levels from Intro technical level to Trimix Cave CCR. As an active Instructor trainer he is able to certify instructors at all levels.




GUE Fundamentals, TDI OC + CCR Cave Instructor

Jon Kieren has spent the past 10 years focused on improving diver and professional level training.  As a GUE Fundamentals Instructor, TDI Advanced Trimix Instructor Trainer, CCR and Full Cave Instructor, SDI/TDI Training Advisory Panel member and former Training Director for Technical Diving International (TDI), Jon has a wide range of experience working with student divers and dive professionals at all levels, but his primary focus resides in the technical and cave diving realms.


GUE Fundamentals, TDI OC + CCR Cave Instructor

Lauren is a passionate and accomplished technical, cave, and rebreather instructor/instructor trainer and underwater photographer. As an active member of the TDI Training Advisory Panel and a dive industry consultant, she specialises in instructional design and training material production. The primary goal in all courses Lauren conducts is to ensure a high-quality education that prepares the diver for the real-world activities they are training for, while keeping the course fun and enjoyable.


TDI & RAID OC/CCR Cave Instructor Evaluator

Steve (aka Doppler) has been an active technical diver, instructor and expedition leader since the early 1990s. Steve is best known for promoting safe practices to the diving community whether in caves, on wrecks or in open water environments. He was primary author of RAID’s cave diving programs. And among other awards, he is a recipient of the NSS-CDS Sheck Exley International Safety Award for 1000 logged cave dives, and is a member of the college of fellows of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society.




TDI Full Cave + SF2 Instructor

Marissa Eckert is a TDI Full Cave instructor, as well as a TDI SF2/SF2 Sidemount E-CCR Rebreather instructor.  She enjoys teaching students in all configurations but especially loves the small sidemount caves.  She moved to Florida 8 years ago to pursue her passion for cave diving, and has accumulated thousands of cave dives.  She also makes multiple trips to Mexico every year, and has spent countless hours hiking thru the jungle.


IANTD OC + CCR Technical Cave Instructor

Ian started his teaching career in 2005, teaching open circuit technical courses up to Advanced Trimix. Now specialising in Mine, Cave and Trimix diving as an Advanced Cave diving instructor, Ian believes that the wrecks, caves and unexplored areas of the world are accessible to all divers with the correct training, equipment and knowledge. When not teaching, Ian spends his time exploring caves and flooded mines. He offers training here in the UK, Azores, France, Spain, Malta and Mexico.


Cave Camp Organiser + Full Cave Instructor

Lanny has been diving for 20 years and instructing since 2003. He has trained with some of the world’s leading dive educators and explorers, currently teaches for TDI/SDI, IANTD, RAID, PADI, CMAS, BSAC and DAN, and holds GUE tech and cave certifications. Previously a Commander in the Royal Navy, he retired to prevent work getting in the way of cave diving. With many years experience of diving the caves in Mexico in backmount, sidemount and CCR, he founded Cave Camp in 2016.




Cave Camp Organiser + Intro Cave Instructor

Claire started diving 10 years ago and is an instructor with RAID, PADI, TDI, SDI and BSAC. She has a passion for teaching new divers and offering divers their first experience of the beautiful cenotes of the Riviera Maya. Claire has wide experience in a range of diving environments around the world, including rebreather and sidemount configuration, wreck, cave and trimix. As a medical instructor she can provide the complete range of DAN and PADI medical courses.
